I think it's planned, because you can "pseudo-mine" iron and gold vains (if you have a pickaxe) and you can also "pseudo-make" weapons with an anvil and a weaponsmith's hammer.
By pseudo I mean that there is an animation and interaction with the objects, but nothing comes out of it yet. I hope it'll be a feature that will be fully implemented.

New enemys that attack villages or camps...and some water with boats in so you can go on them i mean
You could go to new ilands... :)
